Warren Burrows – Wannabe Lawn Bowler / Snow Skier - Chief Poobah
Warren started out in the signwriting business as he meant to continue – being named the top apprentice in New Zealand in 1990. He started Power Signs in 1991 and since then the business has grown from strength to strength, now employing a staff of five. Warren has signwritten everything from rail bridges to giant satellite dishes, sky scrapers, huge inflatables, planes and even a helicopter pad. He has won numerous national sign awards. Outside of work he’s into sports including rugby, snow skiing. Lawn Bowls and golf and enjoys spending time with friends and family and listening to music.
Matt Frost – Wannabe Music Producer - Good Design is Good Business.
Matt comes from a background of various design disciplines ; including Television, Publishing and GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) sectors. He has been nominated for an Emmy Award and won multiple national awards for exhibition excellence. When Matt is not striving for great design solutions, he likes to make music and spend time with his family.
Debbie Burrows – Wannabe NZ Netballer - Number Cruncher
Warren’s wife Debbie keeps the place running smoothly, taking care of all aspects of administration from answering the phones to quoting and invoicing. She’ll also help out on the big jobs when required. Debbie loves dealing with Power Signs’ regular clients and establishing relationships with new ones. When she’s not at work, Debbie can be found in the garden or spending time with the children and grandchildren.
Matthew Souness – Wannabe Pro Mountain Biker - The "go to, make it happen" Guy
Matt is involved in the application of graphics, wraps and installing signs. He enjoys the variety of the work and being able to take something from the screen and turn it into a physical reality. Our LED 3D man lighting up Nelson. Matt is into riding bikes anywhere (except up hills), playing guitar and spending time with friends and family.
Riley Burrows - Wannabe All Black, Sensible one in the team
Warren and Debbie's son Riley has recently joined the family business in an exciting new position with various roles, from taking care of all aspects of administration to helping with the production, Health and Safety, application and installation of signage where needed and also managing Power Signs social media and advertising presence. Outside of work Riley enjoys his sport, predominantly rugby and snow skiing, he also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
